This is the annual fundraising event for the George Eastman House. You get to dress all fancy (if you want), eat, drink, be merry and get down in George’s own ballroom. The awards show will be playing in the Dryden Theater, so you can wander in and out as you mingle or sit and watch the whole thing.
Full disclosure: I am part of the party planning committee. I have a profound respect for all things photography, which led me to get involved with the Eastman House. Last year, they put me on the decorations committee and I know nothing about decorations. “Whoo hoo! Balloons!” This year, they gave me a more appropriate job given my skill set.
